Thanks to these features, Dr-Light has its own special place in the lighting industry in Turkey, although there has been some confusion about the brand. Especially the “Dr” in the brand name is often misunderstood. People interpret it as an abbreviation for the “doctor” and think the company’s name is “Doctor Light”. It gained new momentum in 1982 when Agop Dülgar established Dülgarsan Aydınlatma with the aim of producing aesthetic lighting designs by blending the family heritage of craftsmanship with modern production techniques and technologies. Instead of massproducing thousands of identical products on the production line, the company chose to create independent collections, and with this stance, it successfully created a strong brand. The “Dr” in the company name represents the first and last letters of the Dülgar family name, as well as a symbol of creativity, distinctiveness, originality, and uniqueness.
