DR-TREND

- 19 - breaks stereotypes, İzbudak states: “Our acquaintance started when I began using Dr-Light’s wide product range in my office, restaurant and residential projects that I have designed since the early 2000s, as well as in the designs for the stores of well-known and respected chain brands operating in the domestic and international retail industry. During this time; the feedback from all of my customers who I used Dr-Light products for, expressing their satisfaction with the products, the experiences of the company founder Agop Dülgar, and the fact that our perspective on lighting design is pointed in the same direction, far from stereotypes, were factors that strengthened our relations in a short time.” Simple, Aesthetic and Stylish There are many layers to designing a store or showroom. Architect İzbudak first analyzes the brand’s identity, products, and style to prepare the concept of the project to be designed, making sure that he knows the spirit of the brand well, and starts the setup of the space by determining the needs suitable for the targeted purpose. Then he moves on to the design phase: “By enabling the products of the brand to be grouped within themselves, down to the smallest detail, I design my projects in order to ensure that the stories and the sections I prepare meet with the visitors in an architectural discipline; functional, rational, simple and aesthetically elegant.” A Unique Showroom for Dr-Light İzbudak notes that for Dr-Light, they set out to offer visitors an unforgettable design by combining the brand’s showroom, where the designs are displayed on two separate floors, with a modern, timeless and aesthetic concept: “When designing the Dr-Light showroom; I never hesitated to use dark colors throughout the space in order to position each product group in accordance with its purpose, in different themes, with natural materials so that the rich product variety can be remembered by the user, and to present the power of light in its simplest form. While bringing together the products with the visitors, we aimed to help the visitors easily reach every theme in the space, and to help them find their own concept with the different aesthetic decorations we have offered in the sections. While visiting the showroom, we created spaces where you can find yourself in the meeting room of your office in one theme and the living room or the garden of your house in another, where you can find lighting that will add aesthetic value to your architecture. The positive feedback we received confirmed our approach.”
